Testosterone: ng/dL to nmol/L
1 ng/dL = 0.034672 nmol/L
Reference only. These conversions are arithmetic, not medical advice. Reference ranges differ between laboratories, and results should be interpreted by a clinician alongside the lab's own reported units and ranges.
Conversion table
| ng/dL | nmol/L |
|---|---|
| 100 ng/dL | 3.4672 nmol/L |
| 200 ng/dL | 6.9343 nmol/L |
| 300 ng/dL | 10.4015 nmol/L |
| 400 ng/dL | 13.8687 nmol/L |
| 500 ng/dL | 17.3358 nmol/L |
| 600 ng/dL | 20.803 nmol/L |
| 700 ng/dL | 24.2702 nmol/L |
| 800 ng/dL | 27.7373 nmol/L |
| 900 ng/dL | 31.2045 nmol/L |
| 1000 ng/dL | 34.6717 nmol/L |
Going the other way, 1 nmol/L = 28.842 ng/dL.
Why this conversion needs the substance
ng/dL measures mass; nmol/L measures amount of substance. Converting between them needs the molar mass of the thing being measured — for testosterone that is 288.42 g/mol. That is why a generic converter can't do it, and why every analyte has a different factor.
Jotal works this out from molar mass rather than a stored factor, so write
testosterone 600 ng/dL in nmol/L and it answers 20.803 nmol/L. Leave the substance out
and it deliberately returns nothing rather than guessing.
